    Reduce Corrosion with an Automatic Air Vent

    As a fire sprinkler system is filled with water, trapped gases migrate to the high point of the system, where a vent would be installed to allow gases to escape. These gases contain oxygen, which is the primary cause of corrosion in fire sprinkler systems. The TAV-WN air vent provides automatic controlled venting of trapped gases in wet pipe fire sprinkler systems during the Wet Pipe Nitrogen Inerting (WPNI) process. The float valve decreases the risk of leaks and eliminates the need to plumb to drain. The unit also features a high-visibility pressure gauge that is easily seen from the floor. When the TAV-WN air vent is used in conjunction with the nitrogen inerting process to provide internal corrosion control for wet pipe fire sprinkler systems. It achieves the following — prevents premature venting, allows for gas sampling, and allows for venting trapped gases.
